Meet Joy Habian

Joy Habian, founder of Dutch St Marketing, has enjoyed a multifaceted career in architecture, real estate, and marketing. Trained as an architect at Parsons School of Design and the Harvard Graduate School of Design, she had the privilege of working on landmark projects, including the restoration of Ellis Island and Grand Central Terminal.

Choosing to focus on the business of design, she built numerous marketing departments from the ground up as an in-house Director of Marketing for firms including Perkins Eastman Architects. Early in her career, she reinstated and chaired the AIA New York Chapter’s Marketing and PR Committee and served as a contributing design critic for several shelter magazines. She has led both corporate and property branding initiatives for multiple owners, including The Durst Organization, Jonathan Rose Companies, and the Halcyon Management Group. Highlights of her property marketing portfolio include One World Trade Center, The Brooklyn Navy Yard, VIA 57 West, Via Verde, and West Wharf.

Born and raised in New York City, Joy is an avid, hands-on volunteer and supporter of Puppies Behind Bars, a nonprofit organization that trains incarcerated individuals to raise service dogs for wounded veterans and first responders, facility dogs for police departments and explosive-detection canines for law enforcement.
